Games - Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 is arguably one of the best looking games on the iPhone. Gamers surely are familiar with this zombie ass-kicking title, ported by Capcom on various gaming consoles beforehand, and did an excellent job bringing it to the iPhone. The graphics are crisp, controls on the digital analog screen are responsive and user friendly. A lot of weapons on your disposal that can be unlocked and upgraded as the game progresses.

Apps - SoundHound

Ok the reason I've created this blog is to give my personal reviews on countless apps and games available in the market, the first one that I'd like to pick is an application called SoundHound.

It is basically a song identification tool. Haven't you come across a situation where you heard a nice song played on the radio, yet you don't know the name of song, plus the singer who sang it? Well, SoundHound is the perfect solution. Just turn on the app and have it scan the song for you and walla! The name of the song, artist, release date, album with its artwork, plus lyrics as well! Handy dandy I would say. You also get the artists bio by tapping on the artist's name.

Oh I didn't tell you it also works with your own singing and humming also? Heheh, and it also provides link for you to get the song from itunes. Also, it will list down some music videos available on Youtube for the song searched.

App Description (from iTunes):
SoundHound is instant music search and discovery:

♪ The world's only viable singing and humming recognition
♪ Instant lyrics and artist info for your iPod songs

The Day I Own My iPhone 4

Ok, so basically I have owned the best gadget any person in the world would be dying to have, The Great iPhone 4. Purchased on the 23rd October 2010 thru Maxis postpaid plan at one of the Maxis Exclusive Partners Centre somewhere in Shah Alam.

I remembered at that time, iPhone 4 was sold like hot banana fritters; everywhere it is almost impossible to own one. Hundreds of pending customers on the waiting list and some have even paid deposit in advance but still have to wait like 2 or 3 months before they can own the sacred gadget.

Several roadshows were held by Maxis in promoting the iPhone 4, on various locations nationwide, and yeah large crowds are anticipated queuing for each one of them. I have been told that people are willing to wait in front of the entrance door as early as 5am in the morning, i mean it's just a bloody phone aite? How precious can it be?

During the roadshows only hundreds of units were allocated for each day, and it happens that demand exceeds supply, well you get the point. By the time the roadshows start selling their iPhone 4 to the public, say at 9am, you wont have a chance to get yours if you've just start queuing. Please come back tomorrow morning, and this time, earlier.

Then if you have succeeded, the next step is to wait several more hours before your iPhone 4 finally can be brought home. Hectic, no? That's the reality.

Luckily I got my phone within 15 minutes only, it depends on how intelligent you are, hehe ;)
